Virginia Tech participates in NCAA’s Division 1 Atlantic Coast Conference in 22 varsity sports. The Hokies have been a force in Men’s and Women’s Track and field for the past 20 years having won a number of individual national titles over that span.
While the track and field program has been highly decorated over the years, the football and basketball programs have also seen success. Hokies football has claimed the ACC Conference Title 4 times since 2004, and the basketball program made a Sweet Sixteen appearance in the NCAA “ March Madness” Tournament as recent as 2019.
